My journey started early, at 4:30 AM on the 18th, as I boarded a private plane headed for Jasper. Little did I know that the trip would be worth every second. The sheer size of the company and its facilities was nothing short of mind-blowing. We toured multiple buildings, and it quickly became clear that Jasper was a massive operation. We got to see transmissions being built, engines in various stages of assembly, rear differentials being worked on, and torque converters being cut apart and repaired. Watching these skilled workers in action was an incredible experience on its own. One aspect that truly impressed me was their Research and Development (R&D) team. Jasper has split its R&D into specialized areas, and I could have easily spent the entire day just talking to them. Their passion for constant improvement and innovation is evident, and I learned so much from our conversations. They have a dedicated team that meticulously dissects defective parts to uncover the root causes of failure. Their findings are then reported to another department, which reviews the entire build process of the affected product.
